If you recently had or you are about to have your COVID-19 vaccine, please make sure you schedule your appointment 14 days before/after to avoid possible complications.   Staff at Vanity Flair are fully vaccinated. Applicances and surfaces are disinfected in between clients. Prior to your appointment, you will be required to fill out a COVID-19 questionnaire. If you are feeling sick, having sinus complications, have traveled, have been exposed to, or cared for a COVID-19 positive person within the last 14 days, please reschedule your appointment for later. Please arrive with a face mask on and covering your mouth and nose to your appointment. For your safety, we will be wearing a mask, and gloves at all times. We ask that you wear a mask the entire time you are at the studio unless you are getting a lip tattoo or taking before & after pictures. Failure to abide by this, will result in the cancelation of your appointment and your paid booking fee. No mask - no service. You will be asked to wash or sanitize your hands when you arrive. Contact us as soon as possibel if you develop any symptoms.

- Are pregnant or nursing  - Are under 18  - Are experiencing sunburnt skin - Have skin disease or irritation in the brow area  - Have an active herpes breakout (cold sores) must wait until inactive  - Are currently on antibiotics (must wait one month)  - Are undergoing Chemotherapy - Received botox in the past month  - Received a chemical peel in the last two months - Use retinol/Retin-A or other anti-aging/acne creams or serums containing acids will affect the retention of the pigment

Booking Policies:

A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to secure your spot. The deposit goes towards the total amount due on the appointment day. Canceling your appointment for any reason will result in forfeiting your deposit. Last-minute cancellations will incur a cancellation fee. No guests are allowed in the studio. Arriving > 30 min late without notice will automatically result in cancellation. Please arrive on time to avoid any cancellations.

Prepatory care?

The best skin to arrive with is healthy, non-irritated, blemish and sunburn free for your best results. How to show up with prepped skin? Follow these care tasks: Do not have Botox, Filler, or facial services performed one month before service. Do not use products containing Retinoids, Glycolic, etc. before service Do not pick/tweeze/wax/tint/perform electrolysis two weeks before service Do not tan two weeks before the service or present with sunburned skin Do not drink alcohol two days before service Do not take Fish Oil, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Aspirin or Ibuprofen two days before service. Do not work out the day of service Do not consume coffee before your procedure

What to expect after brows have healed?

After your first session, your eyebrows will fade 30-50% throughout the healing process, so there is a 6-8 week touch up required to solidify & perfect the results.   Days 1-4 your brows will look very bold and dark. Following, around days 5-9 your brows will go through a flaking process. Once the flaking is complete, the work will appear extremely light, but this is temporary. It takes 3-4 more weeks after the flaking to see the true healed results. As the skin continues healing, the color will continue to come back. After your required follow up session, your brows will appear dark in color until the flaking process has completed.

Aftercare?

Aftercare items will be provided to take home Expect the brow area to be slightly swollen, sore, and tender. These symptoms usually subside in a few hours Brows will initially be dark, peel, and lighten after healing. Expect the healing process to be about two weeks. Brows must remain dry and out of the sun for two weeks after your appointment to allow proper healing. All touch-ups are $125 An extra touch-up may be necessary if you do not comply with the aftercare. This extra touch-up is an additional cost. ​​​​​​​

Question 8

Does my existing eyebrow hair need to be shaved off for microshading?

Accepted Answer

Most definitely NOT! Please do not tweeze, thread, wax or modify your eyebrows in any way for as long as possible before your appointment. This will allow for your artist to custom a brow design that blends in with your natural hair growth. Your initial brow treatment includes a brief consultation, followed by facial measurements, and a custom brow design outline for you to preview and approve. Any hair growth that falls outside of the design you choose may or may not be removed according to your preference. Your regular brow maintenance of tweezing, threading, waxing may continue once the brows have healed.

Do I need a touch up?

It is extremely likely. Within the first two weeks of the initial procedure the color fades as much as 30-40% and the eyebrow might look patchy and uneven. After this period, typically between 6-8 weeks, a follow-up appointment is done. The touch-up procedure is much less time consuming as the initial one. As well, any changes you would like to make may be discussed.
